Our Counselling service provides therapeutic counselling which will help to improve coping strategies and resilience for people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind’s Counselling project provides a service for people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties within Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf. We aim to provide therapeutic counselling which will help to improve coping strategies and resilience for people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Counselling can help with issues such as:-

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Panic attacks
  • Phobias
  • Self esteem
  • Interpersonal/relationship difficulties living/welfare issues
  • Work/academic difficulties
  • Debt
  • Bereavement etc.

"How do I access counselling?"

Please ask your GP to refer you to your local Primary Care Mental Health Service for a counselling assessment.

If you live in the Rhondda, you can ask your GP to directly refer you to this service. 

Private Counselling

We also provide private counselling. This is at a cost and can be discussed further when contacting us.

Please also note, that therapy is also available in many different languages to suit your first language needs.
