Drop-in mental health and emotional wellbeing support

Mind Cwm Taf Morgannwg is able to provide a drop-in mental health and emotional wellbeing service or you can pre-book an in person session if you live in the counties of Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil or Rhondda Cynon Taf.

A calendar of where we are is below but you can also click the following individual links to pre-book a session – which can be in person or via telephone / Microsoft Teams call.  If emailing to pre-book, please say which area you live in, how you would like to do the session (in person, telephone, video call) and a brief outline of what you’d like to talk about.

Bridgend: Sophie Ali sophie.ali@ctmmind.org.uk

Merthyr Tydfil: Stacey Farrow stacey.farrow@ctmmind.org.uk

Rhondda Cynon Taf: Amy Donovan amy.donovan@ctmmind.org.uk

Please note, this service is primarily for people with low to moderate levels of anxiety, stress, low mood, depression, etc.  If you feel you need support with significant mental health challenges (eg. deep depression, feeling suicidal or are self-harming), please visit your GP for a referral into structured mental health support.  We also have a list of other organisations to contact in a crisis here: Mental Health Crisis Contacts – Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind

We can only support people over the age of 11 and if you are aged between 11-18, you will need to bring an adult with parental responsibility.  For children under 11, we recommend visiting a GP who may be able to make a referral to children’s mental health services.  Please let us know if you have language or accessibility requirements before you arrive.

Where we are for in person support

Please note these may be subject to change, as there will be times where staff are on annual leave or they may fall on a Public Holiday.  If you would like to check availability before dropping in, we would advise emailing the relevant contact provided above.

As the venues we are using close at 5pm, we ask that people arrive no later than 4pm to have the best chance of talking to someone the same day. If you arrive later than that, we may ask to arrange another time.
